Tero Consulting Ltd., the developer of the advanced web-based CMMS: Azzier is pleased to announce the implementation of Azzier by University of the Fraser Valley.
Located in the beautiful Fraser Valley just east of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) is a fully accredited, public university that enrolls approximately 15,000 students per year. UFV has campuses and locations in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Hope and Agassiz.
The campus operations department at UFV is a dynamic forward-thinking group and has been using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) since 2002. Realizing the many benefits, a CMMS offers to campus operations and the significant changes in technology over the past decade, UFV made the decision in 2016 to upgrade their current CMMS to the Azzier advanced cloud-based CMMS. While there were many goals of the up-grade project, a reduction in work load of the front-line staff for administration of Work Requests was among the top reasons for the change. The new Azzier CMMS program has enabled UFV to move further towards a paperless system and provided a mechanism for work requests to be created by the requester instead of administration staff.
The implementation of Azzier has exceeded the expectations of the Operations Dept at UFV and “users have taken to the new system faster than expected.” UFV is an experienced CMMS user managing over 2,600 assets in the program and on an average, perform over 11,000 work orders, both Preventive and Corrective each year.
While the advantages of the new CMMS are many, “having the ability to design print screens and tailor modules to suite our department in-house, has allowed us the ability to troubleshoot issues the same day rather than contract out as before.”
The Azzier system represents a new era in CMMS and, at its core, has some of the most advanced technology and programming available today. New programming techniques and tools now available, have made Azzier unique in the CMMS market. Together with Tero Consulting Ltd.’s 40 years of experience, the Azzier system will provide the advanced maintenance functionality and KPI analysis experienced maintenance operations demands. “Azzier is also faster with the tab function and modules being capable of running simultaneously” all within a web browser.
UFV will be introducing the use of tablets to the front-line staff as soon as they get comfortable with Azzier on a regular PC and will be introducing the university community to the Azzier program directly for work requests and more.
